What does Darbkooshk mean?
"Darb"
means gate and "Kooshk"
stands for palace in old Persian literature. The name DarbKooshk is attributed to the fact that Kooshk was the name of an ancient neighborhood in Isfahan. From the moment we welcome you at Darbkooshk Saray
until the time we say goodbye, you'll feel like a King or a Queen leaving in a palace.
What is the history behind Darbkooshk?
The structure known as DarbKooshk consists of the remnants of a monumental gate on a narrow street west of Isfahan's Chahar Bagh Avenue. Inscriptions found on site indicate that it was originally functioned as the entrance to a complex dating back to 1492 AD. This monument has been rebuilt recently and is only a few step from your room!
